Gerry Locke

We are saddened by the passing of Gerry Locke (Shew Lunn Lock), who passed peacefully on August 23, 2026, surrounded by family at his bedside at a senior care home.

Gerry is survived by his loving children, Gary and Linda (Bill); his grandchildren, Jen (JP), Mike, and Steph (Will); his great-grandchildren, Blakely and Luke; and his brother Tom. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Marie.

Gerry will be remembered for his hardworking nature and wonderful sense of humour. His humour was never loud or overbearing, but it was always enough to brighten someone’s spirit. He was adventurous by nature and never afraid to try something new.

Throughout his life, Gerry held many different occupations. He worked as a butcher, cook, and server, and eventually went on to have his own cleaning business, followed by a produce store and then a restaurant. His ambition, determination, and willingness to take on new challenges were a true reflection of who he was.

Gerry was a dedicated provider and a legendary grandfather and great-grandfather. His love, humour, and presence will be deeply missed, but he will remain forever in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Thank you to the staff at 3 Links Senior Care home for their caring support. We are appreciative and grateful.
