Joseph (Giuseppe) Codispoti

Born into humble beginnings in Sant’ Andrea Apostolo dello Ionio, Calabria, Italy, Joseph came to Canada in search of opportunity and a better life. Through talent, determination, and an unwavering work ethic, he became an award-winning hairdresser for over forty years at the Downtown Bay hair salon and later served as President and Chairman of the Board of the Hairdressers Association of BC.

Joseph will be deeply missed by his son Mario (Nicole), daughter Lisa (Dennis), and his cherished grandchildren Olivia, Julien, Luca, and Avarie. Predeceased by siblings Sina and Mario, he leaves behind his sister Vittoria, brothers Enzo and Salvatore in Rome, as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family in Canada and Italy.

Our heartfelt gratitude extends to Leanne Park, NP, and the nurses at Kopernik Lodge for their compassionate and devoted care of our father over the past four years.

A viewing will be held on March 2nd between 6:00-8:00pm at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel, with funeral mass and entombment to follow at 11:00am on March 3rd at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish and Oceanview.
