Grace Vera Cross

Daughter of the late Ernest and Mable Cross (Reid) of Trinidad and Tobago.

Grace emigrated from London (England) to Vancouver in October, 1963 and held the positions of Administrative Assistant in the departments of Political Science, then in Commerce at UBC until her retirement in 1988.

Predeceased by her sisters, Rita Prevatt, Phyllis Anatol, Julia Bishop, Elsa Geyette and her brother, Ronald (Sonny) Cross and partner, Donald Sutherland. She is survived by sisters; Merle Smith, Mary Cross, Margarete (June) Cross of Vancouver, Eris Cross (London) and brothers; Andrew (Jim) Cross (Vancouver) and James Cross (Trinidad).

She was Aunt to the Anatol, Smith (Barbados), Bishop, Geyette, Cross and Rampersad families. Great Aunt to numerous nephews and nieces. A relative to Crosses and Mayers' (Trinidad), Crooks' and Daniels (Tobago). Grace was also a close friend to the Whan Tong Family (Victoria), Esme Leigh, Jean Gomez, Evelyn and Joe Fong of Vancouver, the Ottley and Armstrong families (Tobago).

The funeral for the late Grace Cross to take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 24th in The Chapel of Vancouver Memorial Services and Crematorium, 5505 Fraser Street, Vancouver. The Reverend, Pastor Layton Chmelyk, will officiate.

In compliance with COVID-19 regulations, attendance is limited to the family and invited guests.
