Always happy, he loved soccer, hockey, football, NASCAR, music and the internet. He was thrilled to be able to keep up on things from Germany.
He died after a brief illness on October 12, 2015 with his family by his side. Predeceased by his son Danny and 4 siblings, he leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Inge, his daughter Petra, his son-in-law Adrian, who he referred to as "like his son" and "his best bud", 6 grandchildren, their spouses, and his first great-grandchild, born this year. He also leaves behind 2 sisters in Germany and many other extended family members and friends. He will be greatly missed.
