Jack Hollas

The family are saddened to announce Jack's death on March 16, 2013 aged 81. Predeceased by his parents Abraham & Mary, sisters Margaret MacLaughlin (Davie) & Betty Wood (Ron) & brother Duncan. Survived and greatly missed by his wife Peggy, daughter Alison & grandsons Jordan & Kayd. Also survived by brothers Abie (Margaret), David (Margaret), Angus, Nicky (Marie) & sisters Isobel Robertson (Jim) & Ann Logie (Peter) & many nieces and nephews in Scotland, England, Canary Islands & Canada.

Jack was born in Irvine, Ayrshire Scotland and attended Irvine Academy. As a young man he worked in the mines and shipyards. He was in the RAF, spending 4 years in Malta. Following his discharge Jack moved to Canada in 1957, settling in Vancouver where he worked in the steel industry. He met and married Peggy in 1964 and they raised their family in South Vancouver. Jack spent his leisure time doing woodworking, oil painting and in later years, family tree research.

Celebration of life to be held on April 27, 2013 from 2-4, Marpole Place, 1305 West 70th Avenue (at Hudson). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Condolences and memories may be sent to www.HamiltonHarronFunerals.com.
