SANDHU, Jagindar KaurJune 25, 1933 - August 18, 2016It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and family matriarch on August 18, 2016 at St. Paul's Hospital. Daughter of Indo-Canadian pioneer late Kartar Singh Koonar. She will be lovingly missed by her husband, Darshan Singh Sandhu; children, Santo, Dave (Parminder), Randy (Nina); and five grandchildren, Meena, Harpreet, Selena, Harmy and Jason.

She was a well respected member of the Indian community in Canada, dedicated volunteer and longterm member of the Khalsa Diwan Society of Vancouver (Ross St. Temple). She received many honours over the years for her dedication to community and country, including the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal (2002) and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medals (2012). The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at St. Pauls Hospital for their loving care.

Funeral Services will be held at the Hamilton Harron Funeral Home at 5390 Fraser Street at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, followed by prayer ceremony at the Ross St. Temple at 2 p.m.
