John Jong Keong Lum 林重強

Mr. John Jong Keong Lum was born in Zhongshan Canton China on March 3, 1936 and passed away peacefully in Vancouver, British Columbia on December 5, 2021 at the age of 85 years. He is survived by his loving wife Man Fun Lum, Son Vincent(Vanessa), SonTerry(Angeline), Daughter Eva(William), and Grandchildren Andy Siu, Samantha Siu, Ethan Lum, Nicholas Siu, Kaelyn Lum. He will be sorely missed.

John was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had accomplished quite a few things that he is proud of. He was the president of Shon Yee Benevolent Association at one time, and a director of Chinese Benevolent Association as well. He was also the co-chair of National Congress of Chinese Canadians(Pacific Region). He retired from his career at Canada Post.

A visitation for John will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel, 1835 E Hastings St, Vancouver, British Columbia, where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 12:30 PM, you can join the family through live streaming at the tab below next to the service " Join Livestream" and enter password 011179, or copy and paste the link from here https://funeraweb.tv/en/diffusions/42773

Internment will follow at 2:30pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, British Columbia.

林生一輩子都是個愛妻的好老公，愛子女的好爸爸，疼孫子女的好爺爺。他一生之中有很多讓他光榮的事蹟，他曾經是鐵城崇義宗親會的主席，中華會館的理事。他也曾經是全加華人聯會太平洋區的副主席。他在加拿大郵政局光榮退休。
