Joseph Anthony Noone, 82, passed away peacefully in Vancouver on 01 June 2026, after 14 years with Parkinson's.
He was born on 18 October 1943 in Co. Sligo, Ireland. Following military service with the British Army (2 Para), Joe dedicated his life to a career in forensic psychiatry and to his family in Canada.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica; his children; his siblings; and many nieces and nephews across Ireland, Australia, Canada, and beyond. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister, and his niece, who will welcome him into their fold.
Joe will be greatly missed and fondly remembered for his warmth, patience, intellect, and humour. He leaves behind countless memories that will continue to bring both laughter and comfort to those who knew him.
A private interment will be held in Vancouver on 12 June 2026. In lieu of flowers, family and friends are invited to honour Joe's memory by sharing a story, raising a glass, or spending time with those they love.
