Christine was born in Montreal, Quebec, daughter of James Penrose Anglin and Julia Elizabeth Moore. She will be deeply missed by her sister, Susan Winn (Eric), her brother, James Anglin (Gillian), her six nieces and nephews, Pamela McLeod (Robert), Colin Winn (Julie), Trevor Winn (Julie Maynes), Howard Anglin, Tessa Borgomano (Cyril) and Rebecca Russo (Phil), 11 great-nieces and nephews, dear cousins and many lifelong friends.
Christine graduated from Miss Edgar’s and Miss Cramp’s School where she was Head Girl in 1960. Later, she earned a degree from Bishop’s University in Lennoxville, Quebec. She enjoyed a career as a medical secretary, first in Montreal and later on at UBC in Vancouver. She was an enthusiastic poet and writer, she loved to sing, and she adored being a part of the welcoming Joy Fellowship Church community.
Christine was challenged by numerous health issues throughout her life, and even lost her sight in her later years. However, her courageous and indomitable spirit, her sense of humour, and unwavering faith carried her through even the most difficult of times. She was an inspiration to her family and so many who knew her; always generous and loving, always expressing gratitude and positivity. Her smile radiated joy and her giggle was truly infectious. She loved us all deeply, and was in turn deeply loved.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Vancouver. Anyone who would like to remember Christine with a gift, please consider donating to Joy Fellowship Church, 1460 West 49th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6M 2R5
