Kelley Ann Gates

“Missy”

It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear daughter, sister and aunt

at the age of 53. Beloved daughter of Richard and the late Kathleen Gates (2014). Dear sister

to Corina Chyz. Proud aunt of Trevor (Munchkin) and Kalman (Shrimp) Chyz all of Windsor,

Ontario. She will be deeply missed by her two fur babies, Squeaks and Squirt. Special Sis to

Michelle Anderson-Warren (Inkster, MI). Special auntie to Kaleena and Ryan Robinet ( Holland,

Ohio). Cherished friend to Rob and Brian (Vancouver). Survived by aunt Judy Raymond and

her family (Windsor). She leaves behind a host of family in Windsor, Bermuda, England and

Germany as well. Kelley was born August 18th, 1967 in Korbecke, Germany. After moving

back to Canada in 1976 she would live in New Brunswick, Amherstburg and Windsor till the

2007. It was then she decided to try something new. She started in Inuvik, NWT before

deciding to settle in Vancouver for the last 13 years. Kelley loved the city and all it had to offer,

from her balcony view of the snow covered mountains to the acceptance of all walks of life.

Although she missed her family, especially her nephews, this was her home. She wasn’t afraid

of telling you what she thought, and she may not have had much to give, but she would give

you half if she saw you needed it too. She will be remembered for her boisterous cackle, her

love of cats, and her big heart. She will now rest easy with Mom and her dear friend Babette.
