

Mr. Kenneth Kung Hai Tang led an accomplished life beginning in Burma on the 4th of May, 1941. An intelligent man, Kenneth left Burma early in his life to pursue his academic ambitions. Through pure drive and determination, he achieved many scholarships to aid his dreams. In 1966, he received a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the National Taiwan University. More opportunity led him to Canada where he received a M.Sc. in Mathematics from the Simon Fraser University in 1972. After achieving a Lecturer’s Certificate in Taiwan in 1973 and later a Professional Teaching Certificate from S.F.U, he spent the majority of his life devoted as an educator.
Above and beyond his work ethic, Kenneth was a loving father to his daughters. He loved to spend time with his family, take long walks, read and experience epicurean delights. He was always in good health and lived happily with family and friends for sixty-five years.
Kenneth passed away peacefully on the 29th of May, 2006 losing a hard fought battle against cancer. He was predeceased by his wife Pauline in 1992 and survived by his three daughters; Jennifer, Catherine and Monica. Kenneth’s death was a great loss to all of those who knew him, and we will always remember him with the love and respect that he so richly deserved. We love and miss him dearly forever in our hearts.
