Thank you Aunt Lila for being the heart of your family and raising such strong children through difficult times. I remember all the family gatherings at your house with all the laughter and close connections. I loved seeing the cousins gather around to share in the good times and you quietly smiling behind the scenes. You have left a lifetime of good memories to share. You will be missed.

I will always admire her for all the businesses she owned, I remember always thinking how amazing it was for one person to accomplish so much. I’m going to miss her telling me to keep eating and to dress warm. I’ll never forget how generous and caring she was. I’ll miss her laugh and smile. I love you jewpa, and miss you so much.

Dear Koe Family,

I’m sad that Jewpa passed away. I will miss her.

Jewpa was a very strong, kind and generous woman. Our families shared many memories together. We celebrated special occasions, births, baptisms, Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve. She was a very good cook so I always look forward to eating her food, especially her chow mein. I would always bring my own Tupperware so I could take some home.

Jewpa was always so kind and generous to me, Carson and Daniel. She was so very good to them. I will never forget.

I am very lucky to have had the chance to have one on one conversations with her on several occasions throughout the years. She always told the same stories. I never got tired of hearing them. She told me stories of raising her kids, life’s struggles, how hard she worked at the Cannery and how she also loved working at the Cannery.

The story that always stood out was how on so many occasions she would work 24 hour shifts. I never heard her complain. In fact I think she was very proud of herself. She was a very hard-working woman. This always brought tears to my eyes, not because I was sad for her but because I was just wishing I could be as strong as her.

I admred Jewpa.

A mom who will be greatly missed. Many fond memories of you standing strong for us when we were all so young. Mom was not just another tough cookie who won't back down for her love ones. With the arrival of her grand children , I saw her tender heart that I knew was always there. We all miss her so much.
