Marlene Patricia Franks

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Marlene Franks of Vancouver BC.

Although Marlene had struggled with some diminishing abilities in the past couple of years, her life had been a robust life filled with an appreciation of good friends, good adventures, good books, good art, and an urge to get up and dance to good music. There was of course texture and ultimately resilience. And love. In many ways a rebel, Marlene also held traditional values such as loyalty and a fine instinct for simple kindness to others. She will be remembered by many for her entertaining and playful sense of humour.

Left behind are family members including son John (Esther), daughter Kris, and grandchildren Jordan, Clayton, Alex, Josh, and Davis.

The family will hold a small celebration of life at some point in the future.
