

Miyoko passed away in her sleep at Windermere Care Center on November 7. She was predeceased by husband Yoshiaki, brother Mas-Jean Kubo, sister Shiz-Kaori Matsui, & sister Shirley-Kaname Oye as well as a number of brother & sister in laws.
Polly & Yosh were evacuated outside of Coaldale Alberta They later moved back to Vancouver where they worked tirelessly to raise both sons & were very involved in the Vancouver Buddhist Church as well bowling. They enjoyed travelling & visited family in Japan a few times.
Polly worked hard & was quite independent taking the bus everywhere since she did not drive. After Yosh died she lived in her house until Alzheimer’s forced a move to the Care Center. She lived a long & significant life celebrated by her 100th Birthday in June.
She is survived by sons Eddy & Barry-Carol (Tyler, Charley), grandson Brian –Kiyomi (Kale,Naomi), granddaughter Meiko-Geminy Sister in Laws Tosh & many cousins, nephews, & nieces
Many thanks for the staff & residents of Windermere Care Center who showed immense patience in dealing with mom & her Alzheimer’s.
The many wishes & condolences are greatly appreciated as well as the interaction & friendship of many towards the family. Miyoko will be missed but is happy joining those who predeceased her
