It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Nicklaus Paul Brueckert on September 19, 2026. Nicklaus was born to his parents Yvonne Wyss and Daniel Brueckert on March 27, 1999 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. He attended Centennial Park Elementary, Chief Dan George Middle School, and Mission Senior Secondary School. He was attending University of the Fraser Valley taking Indigenous studies. He was very studious. He was always
looking for ways to better himself spiritually, mentally, and physically. He loved to work out. Nicklaus enjoyed attending traditional ceremonies. He found comfort and helped out at the Telmexw Awtexw Healing Centre. He was a firekeeper for many sundance ceremonies and enjoyed harvesting traditional medicine and hunting. He found tranquility in weaving and going on nature hikes. Nicklaus was the glue of the family. He called his family,
friends, knowledge keepers and kept in touch all the time. Nicklaus will best be remembered for his happy-go lucky personality, and great sense of humour, and his deep love for his family.
Nicklaus is survived by parents Yvonne Bonnie Wyss (Ken Drury); siblings Tea Lovely Rosa (Desireah), Brandon Daniel Brueckert, Tyler Bruce Brueckert, Riel Drury; aunt Cecelia Wyss (Chris); uncle Warren Bruce Wyss (Kelly), Colin Taggart (Christy); cousins Senaquila (Justin), Tara, Lily, William, Kyla, Victoria; father Daniel Paul Brueckert, and many cousins, relatives, and dear friends.
