Rajesh Khanna

May 2nd, 1943 to February 21st, 2026

Rajesh Khanna, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Born in Distt. Campbellpur, Punjab, British India, fourth son in a family of five boys and two girls, the family moved to Kila Raipur, Punjab, India during the Partition.

Rajesh came to Vancouver, BC Canada in 1971, where he completed his training first as an electrician, and then in power engineering, working as a boiler engineer at Woodland and Riverview Hospital before retiring in 2006.

Predeceased by his father Gurdasmal and mother Bhagwanti, Rajesh is survived by his wife, Gurbachan Kaur, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage, his

sons Kanwar (Martine), Charnjit (Roshni) and Eddie, his grand-daughters Yasmeen and Priya, his brother Charnjit (Gulshan), his sister Kamlesh (Varinder), along with many extended family members in Canada, USA, and India.

Funeral and Cremation Services to be held at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home, on Friday March 6th, 2026 from 11am to 1pm. This will be followed by tea and snack from 1pm to 3pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
