Ronolfo Austria Fuentebella

Our beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, lolo and friend, Ronolfo “Ron / Ronnie” Austria Fuentebella, passed away on May 10th, 2026 in the comfort of his home in Vancouver, BC, surrounded by his daughters and family, at the age of 82 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters; Mia (Andrew) and Liza (Bernardus), his brother, Leoncio (Meden), sister-in-law, Aida, as well as his nieces, nephews and their children.

Ron was predeceased by Alicia, his loving wife of 42 years and his siblings: Antonio, Salvacion, Jose, and Evelyn (Eli).

Born in Ocampo, Camarines Sur, Philippines, he moved to Canada in 1972 to join his sisters and pursue new opportunities. He worked as a machinist for 43 years as well as supporting a family care home run by Alicia.

Those who knew Ron will remember his quiet presence but big influence. He worked tirelessly, always wanting to make sure everything and everyone was taken care of, but was always ready to share a joke and bring a smile and laugh to everyone he met. Ron’s memory will live on through his family, whose lives had been enriched by his unwavering love and support.

An offertory mass will be held for Ron on Sunday, May 24 at 11:00 am at St. Andrew’s Parish in Vancouver. His viewing and reception will take place at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home, 5390 Fraser Street, Vancouver, BC on Monday, May 25th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A private cremation and committal service will be held in the following days where he will be laid to rest with Alicia at the Gardens of Gethsemani in Surrey, BC.
