Seiko was born in Port Alberni to parents Yasukichi and Yoshie, and was married to Kenji Tanami for over 60 years.
She is predeceased by her parents, husband and two siblings, Tamotsu and Meri. Seiko is survived by and will be missed by her two children, Roy (Nerissa) and Josy (Bill), two grandchildren, James (Melina) and Kate (Mervin) and four cherished greatgrandchildren, Olivia, Jackson, Skylar and Noah.
A private family service will be held on May 14, 2026 to honour her life.
