Stanley was predeceased by his parents, Gene and Dorothy Ferraro. He is survived by his devoted wife, Fay; his brothers, Roy (Linda) and Leo; and his sisters, Darleen, Debbie (Glen), and Anne (Ken). He will also be deeply missed by his nine closest first cousins, including the late Carmie (Larry), Kathy (Fred), Norma (Jim), Linda (Rick), Gary (Sharon), Carol (Larry), Gord (Debbie), Lorraine (BJ), and Roger, as well as his numerous nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends and remaining family members.
Despite living with a rare disease that affected only 88 people worldwide, Stanley had a tremendous joy for life and always uplifted others with his funny antics. His concern for others’ health was one of his most poignant and touching characteristics. He loved fishing, golfing, playing hockey, playing poker, listening to music, family gatherings, and cheering for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays.
Stanley loved working on the family dairy farm growing up, enjoyed meeting people during his meat-packing days, and loved working and driving around town in a concrete mixer.
Stanley was truly one of a kind and will continue to live on in our memories, always holding a special place in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life is being planned, with the date and time to be announced in the near future. In lieu of flowers, Stanley would like you to donate to your favorite charity in his name.
