Statis Steve Frangolias passes away peacefully November 12, 2019 at VGH. Born in Filiatra, Greece (25/8/1933) to Euthemios and Panagiota Frangolias. After completing his army training, he immigrated to Canada and began his life working at the MacMillan Bloedal Mill in Powell River and also performed other jobs on top and began investing his savings. After marrying moved to Vancouver. He was a hard worker where at times held more than 2 jobs. Always enjoyed his sports cars when younger and passed on his passion to his grandchild Steven. Retired he enjoyed his summers in Greece and winters in Vancouver. Always a generous man, who loved to play the bouzouki, be with his family and in later years loved spending every moment he could with his grandchildren. We will always remember him telling us how he ”…came to Canada with just $10 in his pocket, now let me see what you can do”. He is lovingly survived by his wife Panagiota, daughters Despina and Dimitra, and his 4 grandchildren Steven, Thomas, Eva and Panos and son-in-law Brian. He will be missed by his family and friends. His funeral is on November 18 at 11 am at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral and will be buried close to home.
