Predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Edward McEwen, Strohan passed away peacefully at the age of 66 at Royal Columbian Hospital. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Joanne with whom he shared 35 years, his children Meghan and Andrew, his brother Blair and dear friends, Marvin and Marian.
Born in Vancouver, BC, Strohan was a third-generation Vancouverite and a resident of Port Coquitlam for 33 years. Strohan was deeply respected throughout his career as an industrial electrician and took great pride in his work. His troubleshooting skills were often described as “second to none”. In earlier years, Strohan found enjoyment in the outdoors especially camping and developed a passion for flying, earning his private pilot’s license. He also enjoyed driving and racing his two Ford Mustangs and was a long-time member of the Greater Vancouver Mustang Association. We will miss his wonderful sense of humour, quick wit and generous spirit.
A celebration of Strohan’s life will be held in the future. Details to be announced. A Private family gathering for an inurnment will take place at the family plot at Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver.
