Sunrise: October 23, 1969 – Sunset: August 26, 2026
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Victor Clifford Point on August 26, 2026. He was commonly known as
Vic. Vic was born to his late parents Gloria Jean (nee: Nahanee) and Vincent Cedric Point on October 23, 1969 at St. Paul’s
Hospital. He attended Lord Nelson Elementary School, Admiral Seymour Elementary School, and graduated from Desert Sands
Community School. He started his working career at Chevron and in ’89 went to work with the brotherhood of the ILWU local
#500. He was a loyal hard worker who was always concerned about the safety of everybody. Vic faced his fears head on. He
loved hot rods, muscle cars, and motorcycles. He was funny, stubborn, and learnt how to teach from his wife. Vic fiercely
loved his family. His children were his whole world. He taught them about Squamish Culture and spirituality. In his free time
he enjoyed going to flea markets, farmers markets, and hanging out with his family. Vic will best be remembered for his
fierce love of his family, sense of humour, and his year round shorts.
Victor is survived by his loving wife Jennifer Candace Point; children Lillian-May Theresa Gloria Rice, Victor George Rice,
Maximus Johan Clifford Point, Sebastian Raymond Arthur Clifford Point, Turick Hans Anthony Clifford Point; siblings
Valentina Jean Brooks (Jim), Vanesse Jean Point, Vanetta Jean George, Rowena Eckenswiler; aunt & uncle Robert James
Nahanee, Joanne M. Nahanee; and many cousins, relatives, and dear friends.
