It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Yoshio Fujimoto. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on July 19, 2026, at the age of 100 years and 3 months.
He was predeceased by his wife and siblings. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Sheila (Gary), Susan (George), and Bryan (Jennifer), as well as his five grandchildren: Michael, Sean, Rebecca, Kayla, and Emily, to all of whom he was devoted.
Yosh worked in the lumber industry for many years. He began his career in a mill and, through hard work and dedication, became a lumber specialist serving as a liaison between the BC lumber industry and markets in Japan.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel, 1835 E Hastings St, Vancouver, immediately followed by a reception.
Koden and flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
