It was a pleasure and a privilege knowing Jean all these years.  I met Jean, Frank, and Wayne in 1959 when Paul and I arrived in Vancouver to join the medical
community.
For many years we skied together and Jean and I were part of an investment
club.  After disbanding we continued to meet for lunch.....usually at Jean's 
favorite restaurant, Roots.
I will surely miss her.

Jean's first husband was Dr. Franklin Butler, a well resspected Vancouver Physician.  He was my father's (Alfred Butler) younger brother.  We enjoyed many visits with the Vancouver Butlers when I was a kid.  Happy memories!  Jean was always the gracious hostess and we felt welcome in her home.  In later years Jean entertained us with stories about some of the family relatives; stories that were news to us and quite entertaining.
