Theodore Elwood Britton passed away at age 80 on October 31, 2019. He was born in Nitro, West Virginia on June 10, 1939 to Elwood R Britton and Juanita Britton. He graduated from Wirth County High School in 1957. He served in the Army from 1959-1961. He married Rebecca Frazier in 1959.
He was a carpenter for many years, building houses and yachts. He was a member of the Vancouver Elks #823. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed so many things in life. He loved bike riding. He loved riding motorcycles, camping, hiking and anything active. For most of his life, he was an avid reader. He was so proud of children and his grandchildren and their accomplishments. He absolutely loved family gatherings.
He is survived by his children Elizabeth Britton-Tardio of Vancouver WA, Kimberly Klampe of Vancouver WA, and Troy E Britton of Portland OR; grandchildren Mariah McCleskey of Vancouver WA, Amanda Daniels of Portland OR, Robert Bradley Reyes of Portland OR, Luke Chancey of Vancouver WA, Clair Chancey of Vancouver WA, Morgan Britton-Huber, Jasmin Gentry of Portland OR, and many great grandchildren that he loved.
A viewing will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:00pm on Nov 9, 2019 at Vancouver Funeral Chapel, 110 E 12th St. Vancouver, WA 98660. A graveside service will be Saturday, November 9, 2019, 2:00 pm at Northwood Park Cemetery at 16407 NE 15th Ave Ridgefield WA. A Celebration of Theodore E Britton’s Life will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Red Cross Bldg., 1501 E. Evergreen Blvd. Vancouver, WA 98661. Lunch will be served. There will be videos and pictures in remembrance. All are welcome.
