Allan M. Szabo

Allan M. Szabo, 75, of Milford, CT, entered into eternal rest on March 30, 2023 in Venice, FL. Born in Norwalk, CT he was the son of the late Albert and Angelina Ferrara Szabo. He was predeceased by his brother Steven.

Allan leaves behind his beloved wife Barbara of 54 years, and his cherished children Michael, Scott and Allison Berlingo (Robert). Allan was blessed with five amazing grandchildren; Scott Jr, Trey, Maddalena, Nicholas and Mack. Allan is also survived by his very dear sister-in-law Susan Huot (Diane Lanier) and several cousins.

Allan was raised in Norwalk. He attended Brien McMahon High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Bryant College. Allan and Barbara married and settled in Milford where they raised their family. Allan was employed by Pitney Bowes for 40 years before retiring.

Allan could be seen many weekends riding his bike along the shoreline. He was a big fan of Formula 1 car racing and made several trips to Montreal to watch the races. He and Barbara enjoyed cruising to the Caribbean. Allan loved the outdoors. He made many memories with his family fishing and camping, which included an annual camping trip to Vermont with his sons. He loved gardening and spending time at the beach to watch the sunset. Allan was a proud grand-dad. He adored watching his grandchildren's baseball, basketball and cheerleading events.

The family is grateful for all the wonderful times they shared together and will hold these memories close to their hearts.
