My nana. My nana banana. I’m truly blessed and privileged to have you as a role model in my life. To teach me right from wrong. To be there for me, even in my wrong-doings. To raise me and my sisters as your own children, not just your grandchildren. From living with you at the bird farm, to living with you in Englewood, it didn’t matter because we always knew we had a home with you. 
There are so many memories with you that I’ll never forget, but some stick out more than others. Like when we were kids, and we’d go swimming and sing “row row your boat” while we floated on a pool noodle. The super cool birthday party’s you used to come up with. Even you and popa yelling at the neighbor because we wanted to climb a tree. I’ll definitely think about you whenever I think of a praying mantis, too. Haha. But most importantly, I’ll never forget how you taught us that we can do anything we set our minds to. That we were strong girls and very powerful. That whatever happens in life, my sisters and I would always have each other.  If it wasn’t for you, I’m sure the world would have sucked us up in its darkness, but you were there to show us the light. And you’re still going to show us the light. Thank you for being a wonderful “Nana G” to baby Blaine. He says he’s happy to know you’re with God and he’ll see you again one day.

I am sorry for your loss!! I have so many memories with Denise!!! I remember her coming to the corner fire hydrant to cross me over the street so I could come visit. I loved that the bird would say “come in” but it was Denise’s voice.  Thanks for being a bonus mom when I was at your house!!

01/20/2017, I can’t tell you how grateful and honored to have known you. You are the world’s greatest nana who’s always been supportive, caring, kind and so amazing in every way ! I love you so much my nana-banana-fi-fy-fo-fana! We all miss you very much and I will definitely * miss that nice cruchy Mac-n cheese and stuffing !(: living with you and seeing you every week for basically my whole life has always been the highlight of my week, little JT as well(: from sitting in his car seat while we cleaned condos to running up on you and going swimming ! We enjoyed your company (especially when you tell papa to “shush up” lol I’m glad you don’t have to deal with any pain anymore and you’re peacefully resting(: I promise to keep your blinds clean at the house, and keep papa in line !(: you mean the world to me and can’t wait to see you again(: we miss you and love you so much nana(: go kick some butt up there because before you know it, we’ll be laughing with each other again😘❤️😏
