Dennis Allan DeCoster, a dedicated husband and beloved father, passed away in Englewood, Florida on May 4, 2026. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, April 28, 1944, Dennis relocated to Florida for work in the Tool and Die trade and discovered his love of sailing and the Florida coast.
Dennis met the love of his life Linda, while pursuing his love of sailing while he was a Captain running his business Sunset Sails at a Bayside Holiday Inn. From there he enjoyed 36 years of marriage doting on his beloved wife.
Dennis was predeceased by Eleanor and Arthur DeCoster, his sister Dale DeCoster and Paul Schumaker, his brother Dave and Ginger DeCoster as well as his beloved wife Linda.
Dennis is survived by his sister Denise DeCoster; sons, Darrin and Darryll DeCoster; daughters, Tammy Hoss and Tracy Huie; grandchildren, Dylan and Donovan DeCoster, Riley Edwards and Zach, Peyton, Ashlyn, and Gracyn Huie.
Dennis will be remembered for his devotion to his wife and family, his passion for the coast and all things nautical.
