

Jerry Lou Lesler, born on February 7, 1933, in Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on November 6, 2025, in Venice, Florida at the age of 92. She was the daughter of John T. and Lou (Waites) Crawford. Jerry was born a Jehovah's Witness and faithfully followed her beliefs throughout her life.Jerry graduated from Woodlawn High School in Birmingham.
At the age of 15, Jerry met Gordon Lesler at a skating rink, and they were married on December 24, 1948. The couple moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where they spent several years starting their family. In 1961, they relocated to Orange Park, Florida, and later settled in Venice, Florida, in 1995.
Gordon owned an Amaco Gas Station in Orange Park and Jerry worked as a bookkeeper for the family business, while raising the kids.
Gordon preceded Jerry in death. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Thomas Lesler, her daughter, Deborah Lain (Richard), and her grandchildren, Joseph Hill, Amy Ward (Brian), and Jacqueline Posey (Caleb). Jerry also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Alexa Hill and Hazel Posey, along with many loving and caring friends, including Chuck Bates.
Jerry was an avid golfer and bowler, and she enjoyed roller skating in her youth. She was known for her warmth and love as a wife and mother, and she was affectionately called Memaw by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her legacy of love and kindness will be cherished by all who knew her.
