

Wife of Richard L. Sullivan
Joan C. Sullivan, beloved wife of Richard L. Sullivan, passed away after 66 years of marriage. Born in Waltham, Massachusetts, Joan devoted her life to her family, raising her four children in Lexington, Massachusetts.
She worked for many years at Lexington Savings Bank as a loan officer, and after retirement she and her daughter Sheryl opened Floral Expressions in Lexington. In her second retirement, Joan moved to Venice, Florida, where she enjoyed many years of traveling the world with her husband and family.
Joan is survived by her loving children: Terri Mack of North Chelmsford; Sheryl Ruggiero and her husband, Sylvester Ruggiero, of Champions Gate, Florida; Karen Sullivan of Venice, Florida; and Richard Sullivan of Brunswick, Georgia. She was the proud grandmother of Jessica Mack, Ashley York, Katie Jarzebowski, James Mack, Sylvester Shane Ruggiero, and Andrea Cannistraro, and she cherished her six great-grandchildren.
Joan will be remembered for her warmth, devotion to her family, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Kays-Ponger, Uselton & Lemon Bay Funeral Homes, 1935 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL 34293. A funeral service will follow from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, a private committal service will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery,
