Leonard Vincent Grimando

He was born on April 28, 1959, in Brooklyn, New York; son of Benedetto and Frances

Grimando.

Lenny attended Mansfield State College and earned a BA in 1982. Lenny

moved to Florida in 1998 and began working for Haverty’s furniture, where his greatest

accomplishment was having perfect attendance for 32 years. Lenny then started working

for Bacon’s furniture and enjoyed a brief time with them.

When not working, Lenny an avid fisherman could be found on a pier or the beach. In his

line of business, he encountered many people, some becoming lifelong friends.

Lenny is preceded in death by his mother Frances. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sharon, his father Ben, his sister Ann Marie, his Aunt Millie, his cousins Lenny, Maria, Vincent, Patty, Joann, Dena and Vera, his brothers and sisters-in-law Kathleen & Bob Bruno, Irene and Bob Viti, his mother-in-law Irene Ferguson, his five nieces and nephews and a grand niece and nephew, and his best friend Alec Dazenski.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 20, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home,1935 S Tamiami Trl, Venice, FL, with a 6:00 PM service. Burial will be on

Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Gulf Pines Memorial Park, 2401 Englewood Rd, Englewood, FL 34223.
