

Bonnie was born in Fort Collins, Colorado to Roy E. Taylor and May Lavon Vincent on March 28, 1925. Bonnie went to high school in Fort Collins and graduated in 1943. She took one year of Business in college where she met her first husband, Walter W. Edwards. They were married and had four children, David, Carolyn, JoAnne, and Michael.
Bonnie retired from Wright Patterson USAF Base with Outstanding Awards and Secretarial Civil Service. Her favorite activities included, but were not limited to: golf, tennis, aquatic ballet performing and resistance exercise, water skiing and pyramid performing, weekly Bridge games, singing in her own band (small band with Big Band sound), and singing with the Big Band when it came through. She sang in the church choir most of her life (Alto), with many Cantata performances. Her hobbies included making pottery nativity scenes for each home in our family, plus sea shell pictures and decoupages. The charities and organizations she gave to were innumerable; constantly saying “yes” to every need.
Bonnie is survived by her sons: David W. Edwards, Los Lunas, NM and Michael A. Edwards, Nokomis, FL; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her father, Roy E. Taylor; mother, May Lavon Vincent; husbands, Walter William Edwards and Paul F. Wendler; daughters JoAnne O’Connor and Carolyn Ferrier; sisters Louise Taylor and Adele Cresswell; and brother, Vincent Taylor.
A Celebration of Life is planned for 1:00 p.m., April 20, at Heartis of Venice, 3rd floor, 1020 North Tamiami Trail, Nokomis, Florida 34275.
