

He was born on July 29, 1954 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Michael Andrew Yenchko, Sr. and the former Mary Mahalow. He is survived by his sister, June Kennedy and his brother, Robert Yenchko who both reside in Venice, Florida. He is also survived by his wife Linda Allen and this two adult children, Elise Powell of Salisbury, Maryland and Michael Andrew Yenchko, III who is stationed at Homestead Air Force Base, in Miami, Florida.
Michael was a graduate of Venice High School and earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. He achieved the rank of Major in the United States Army and was stationed in Hanau, Germany; Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland; Fort Carson, Colorado; Fort Huachuca, Arizona and Kitzigen, Germany. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and the Overseas Service Ribbon.
Funeral arrangements are by Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1935 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL 34293. A visitation for Michael will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at . A funeral service will occur at 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Kay, Ponger, Uselton home and internment will follow at 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
