I am so sorry to have heard about Barry. I just now found out. I have been trying to reach you over the years and have been unsuccessful. We were communicating through e-mail for a while then I stopped hearing from you. I tried looking you up on Facebook and I found Barry and he was on my friend's list for a while then I couldn't find him so I decided to go on google and that's how I found out. Barry's timeline was usually the first one I always went to when I signed in. He always had interesting posts and would get many of us in on the conversation. A great Facebook friend. You are missed so very much.

Dear Dad,

It has now been exactly two  weeks since you  left  us, and  this hole in my heart will never heal.  I regret not spending  more time with you, because I didn't know that your time was going to be cut so short.  You are so special to me, and you were my everything, and now you are gone......How do we live without you?  I have never in my entire life known any man that is as special as you. 

You were kind,  loving, gentle, sensitive, strong, encouraging, and you gave me the best advice even when I didn't  want to hear it.  You were funny and  handsome, and I love you so much.  I talk to you everyday, and hope you can hear me, and watch over mom, Nacho and I.  

You are loved and missed by so many.  We had no idea how many lives you touched, but now we do.  I am proud of the man you were, and I proud that you are my father.  My only wish is that I could of had one more day with you.  Thank you for making me the person I am today, and for all your wisdom  and father humor.  I think about you all day, and you mean everything  to me.  I promise to carry on your legacy and will never ever let ANYONE forget the wonderful man that is Barry Silbert. Barry, i only knew you through facebook. We had many lively talks and comments. We managed to correct each others posts and it was a wonderful relationship. I will truly miss our talks and your presence in our posts. I hope we will meet again in a much better place..

Barry and I have been friends and colleagues over the past 10 years. Barry treated everyone with kindness and respect.  He had a terrific sense of humor and a tremendous love for his family (including Nacho of course).
