Charles Garner Morrow

Charles “Charlie” Morrow, 92, of Oxnard, a cherished husband, father, and friend passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2015, at the Glenwood Care Center in Oxnard, CA, following a long illness.

Charlie, as he was known by family and friends, was born September 7, 1923, in Bessemer, Alabama. He will be remembered for his humor, generosity, and willingness to lend a helping hand. Charlie was a proud American who loved football, traveling in his RV, and working on cars.

He is survived by his daughter, Ellen and her husband Tony Worthington.

Charlie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Florence; and his son, Charles Jr.

He proudly served his Country for 23 years in the United States Navy. Upon his military retirement he worked for many years in civil service.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude and thanks to the entire staff at the Glenwood Care Center, and Vesper Hospice for their kindness and compassionate care. Per Charlie’s own wishes, there will be no services held in his name.
