Dorothy Jean Schwartz

She raised her family in Winnetka, CA where she lived for 50 years. Dorothy spent the last five and half years in Ventura, where she enjoyed socializing and playing Bingo with her friends at Cypress Place Senior Living.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and husband, Hal, of 59 years.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Theresa Hodell, of Ventura and her daughters, Stefanie and Mia; son, Marty and wife, Becky Schwartz, and their sons, Greg, Will and Jeff all of Ventura; and great-grandchildren; Jessica, Melissa, Maria, Sophia and Jacob.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013, 2:00pm at

Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Road, Ventura, with The Reverend Dan Hull officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura.
