Just like her multiple names, Liz had multiple full lives. Her journey stared in Chelsea MA and ended on the shores of the Pacific. Along the way, her path included many stops, as she crisscrossed the Mississippi.
Accompanying her boundless energy, was a bright infectious smile and sensitive heart. If you were fortunate to be friends with her, you’ll remember she loved to have a good time. She was always up for anything.
She had several careers, yet we all knew her favorite job was raising her three kids. She said it was the best thing she ever did.
These three kids, Greg, Robin, and Jason, along with her 4 grandkids Connor, Justin, Boston, and Vienna carry on with Liz in their heart and in their minds. The memories are numerous, yet these portray her essence:
1. No one could ever beat her in Boggle or Scrabble.
2. Conquering heart break hill and the Boston marathon, she attributed to strategic water stops.
3. Always thoughtful.
4. Love of reading inspired a lifelong passion volunteering for literacy programs wherever she lived.
5. A lust for travel brought her to many continents as well as states, kayaking Alaska and skiing Yellowstone’s geyser basins were her favorites.
6. Short trips always became excursions, especially while searching for an open Thai restaurant.
7. Passcodes were a challenge, yet she could remember minute details about one of her kids’ friends.
8. As a fierce competitor and ranked player, tennis was definitely singles, not doubles.
9. Her outgoing personality made agnostic friendships everywhere.
10. She was a warrior-she never gave up!
Mom, you will be missed.
