Ellen Dee Young

She attended Lucy Flower High School in Chicago, Vogue Designing School in Chicago, Metropolitan Business College in Chicago and eventually 2 years at Ventura College in Ventura, Ca.

During her career she worked for the Signal Corps in Chicago as a supervisor, Fireman's Fund Insurance Company in Los Angeles, California, Mobil Oil Corporation in Los Angeles. She moved to Ventura in 1964 where she worked for Eastman Dillon Securities.

She was the Personnel Director at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura from 1971-1977 and Ojai Valley Community Hospital from 1977-1986, retiring in June, 1986.

She was predeceased by her husband Willis "Bill" Young. She is survived by Step Daughter Kristin Moorman and husband Clem in New Jersey, Cousin Gail and husband John Bartosiak in Chicago and Cousin Beverly Lambert in Chicago and Dan and Cricket Young in Panama as well as many close, life-long friends and extended family. The family wishes to thank Lanyard Dial, M.D., Carol McCormick, R.N. Livingston Hospice as well as all of the staff at The Ojai Valley Continuing Care Center for caring for Ellen in her time of need. At Her request, she will be cremated and buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery

in Chicago. There will be no services or memorial at her request Arrangements are under the direction of Charles Carroll Funeral Home in Ventura.
