Emily Sacco Jagielski

Emily was born in Malta and traveled to New York in 1950 with her beloved Joseph Sacco. They married the following year and then had a daughter a year after that. In 1957 they moved to Rosemead, California. Sadly, Joe passed away in 1974.

After 20 years, Emily met Edward Jagielski, and they were married the following year. Sadly, Edward passed away in 2007.

Emily was very proud of her Maltese heritage. She spoke four languages and was always dressed in the height of fashion. She enjoyed dancing, singing, playing the Mandolin and going to Las Vegas. She was an excellent seamstress and the whole family always looked forward to her baked macaroni!

Emily leaves behind her daughter Marcelle and son-in-law Martin Goldman of Ventura, California, and many nieces and nephews here in the U.S., England, Europe, Canada and Australia.

The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Feiss and his assistant Jill, as well as the Staff at both Treacy Villa Residential Care Facility in Ventura and The Front Porch Assisted Living Facility in Alhambra, California, for the wonderful and loving care they all gave to Emily.

A Rosary will be held Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Charles Carroll Funeral Home, 15 Teloma Dr., Ventura, CA; Graveside service will take place on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m., at Resurrection Cemetery, 966 N. Potrero Grande Dr., Montebello, CA.
