

Jacobus “Jake” Midde, age 70, passed away at home in Pt. Hueneme Wednesday, May 16 after a three year battle with cancer. He was born on April 8, 1942 in The Hague, The Netherlands. He was a resident of Ventura County for over thirty years.
He was a retired machine shop owner.
Jake had many interests, including deep sea fishing off the Channel Islands, scuba diving, photography, he was avid soccer fan, and he loved vacations and traveling, camping with the grandchildren, barbeques and spending time with family.
Jake is survived by his wife Trudy. Next month would have been their 50th wedding anniversary. He is also survived by his children, Jacqueline Rohweller and husband David, Linda Turner and husband Bill, Paula Midde and David Midde and wife Tracy; grandchildren, Christyna Sorenson, Brittany Perry and husband Brandon, Jason and Jenna Turner, Janelle, Rachel, Stephen and Justin Rohweller, Marcus and Mandy Broussard and Jacob, Meghan, Rylee and Nikolas Midde; brother, Cees Midde and wife Cora of The Netherlands: sisters, Trudie Van Dissel and husband Hans and Jannie Midde and brother-in-law Cor Kramer and wife Gerda and many nieces and nephews.
He had a great love for Christ, reading the bible and was active in his church.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate the life of Jake Midde 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 8180 Telephone Rd., Ventura. Interment will be private at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park.
Donations may be made in memory of Jake Midde to the American Cancer Society.
