Lisa Diane Patellis, 52, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at her home in Ventura following a four year battle with cancer. Lisa was born in Northridge, Calif. on September 14, 1960, to Phillip and Janice Parsons. She spent 27 years of her life living in or around Northridge and Granada Hills before moving to Ventura in 1988.
She was employed as an insurance adjuster for over twenty five years, with Nationwide and 20th Century Insurance Companies. Lisa was a very active woman with many hobbies that included scrapbooking, sewing, bike-riding, baking, decorating, redecorating and cooking healthy meals. However Lisa’s favorite hobby was shopping. To know Lisa was to love Lisa; she was a truly genuine friend to all. Lisa was as beautiful inside as she was outside. She is missed already.
Lisa was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Glass.
She is survived by her husband of twenty eight years, Lawrence Patellis; daughter, Brooke La Rochelle Roberge (husband, Warren); father, Phillip Parsons; sister and best friend, Taina Bitto (husband
Joseph); brothers, Michael Parsons, Jeffrey Parsons and David Aldridge (spouse Mary Tobaygo); sister-in-law, Kim Patellis and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, too numerous to count.
A memorial service for Lisa will be held at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road in Ventura on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Ed Mills officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lisa’s name may be made to the Ventura Wellness Center, where Lisa spent a lot of time in her last years, Livingston Hospice, or a children’s charity of your choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home. Condolences may be left at TedMayrFuneralHome.com.
