

Michael M. (Stan) Lindsey, 70, died of liver cancer in Community Memorial Hospital on Monday, December 7, 2015. He was born in Oakland, California on October 9, 1945 to George and Helen “Dottie” Lindsey and moved with his family to Ventura in 1959.
He graduated from Buena High School in 1963 and from UCSB in 1977. Michael served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He became a substitute teacher in a local high school and later an insurance agent.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, George H. Lindsey, in November of 2011 and his brother, Steven M. Lindsey in December of 1992. He is survived by his mother, Helen “Dottie” Lindsey, of Ventura; son, Michael Lindsey and his wife Amy, of Redmond, Oregon; grandchildren, Dallas Lindsey and Brooklyn Lindsey of Redmond, Oregon; friend, Mary Castro, of Ventura; Also survived by, Sandra Lindsey, Ryan Lindsey, Melanie Lindsey and Charisse Lindsey, of Ventura; Rob Lindsey, Andi Lindsey, Tyler Lindsey, Taylynn Lindsey and Teegan Lindsey, of Redmond, Oregon.
The family wants to thank Dr. Sharma, in Oncology and the staff at the Westwood VA Facility for their long-term efforts and support.
Private services are pending.
