Philip Arthur Rogers

April 14, 1917 - January 4, 2011

On January 4, 2011 our loving father and grandfather passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side.

Phil was born in El Centro, California and married the love of his life Lee in 1940 and they moved from Orange to Ventura where they resided until their passing. Phil was an avid rock-hound and enjoyed golfing, fishing, cooking and had an amazing green thumb in the garden.

Phil was preceded in death by his wife Leora (Lee) Rogers, son Brett Rogers, son-in-law Bob Pranger and great-great-grandson Boston Jensen.

Phil is survived by his sister Virginia, Centralia, WA, daughters Linda Pranger of Prescott, AZ, Valerie Mackey, husband David of Ventura, CA, Patrick Rogers, wife Margaret of Ventura, CA, 11 Grandchildren, 24 Great-Grandchildren and 6 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

"I shall pass through this world but once. Any good thing that I can do, or any kindness that I can show any human being, let me do it now and not defer it for I shall not pass this way again."

The family would like to give special thanks and appreciation to the Buena Vista Hospice staff for their help and care they showed to Phil in his last days.

There will be a private memorial service for the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Buena Vista Hospice at 143 Triunfo Canyon Road, Suite 103, Westlake, CA 91361.
