Ricky Earl Goodwin

Rick Earl Goodwin, 60, of Ventura, died on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, following a lengthy illness. He was born April 28, 1953 in Lebanon, Tennessee to John Earl Goodwin and Shirley Beatrice (Balding) Goodwin. He has been a resident of Ventura for fifty-seven years.

Rick owned and operated R-Cut Salon located in Ventura where he was a hair stylist for many years. He had a strong love and passion for his business.

Traveling and spending time with his family and friends brought Rick such joy.

Needless to say he was a sports fanatic. Rick and Laura attended First Assembly of God Church in Ventura.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Shirley Goodwin.

Rick is survived by his wife, Laura S. (Edwards) Goodwin of 34 years; son, Clark E. Goodwin; son and daughter-in-law, Westley S. and Nadine Goodwin all of Ventura; grandchildren, Sofia B. Goodwin and Knox H. Goodwin.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014, 3:00 P.M.at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home.
