I remember we were at your mother's for Christmas,  I had the worse ear ache ever and not so cheerful or fun to be around. You had plans and had to leave out early. I left early saying I was going home; only to truly go out for a few hours with  great friend of mine to a bar for some pitchers of beer. While trying hard, very hard to drink mine but wasn't able too due to feeling pretty bad and sick. While I'm standing at the bar, I looked towards the dance floor only to see some crazy dancing young man who I swore had the same outfit as you had on earlier, but I thought ,"there's NO WAY in hell that it's you," for a couple reasons.....mainly because there's NO WAY in hell your even old enough to get in the bar let alone drink.....lol. I walked up to you and asked you what the hell were you doing at a bar, wanted to know if your mother knew where you were, and who the hell were you there with. You looked at me all crazy and argued with me for awhile that you were 21 and I just couldn't accept that as the truth so I asked for your I'd and you gave it to me and that's when I found out my lil brother (step) was all grown up and it hurt my everything for whatever reason but was super funny. I swear you were still just maybe 16 or 18  not that long b4 and then I realized that time sure flies by fast. I will NEVER EVER FORGET THAT NIGHT RYAN OR YOU AND I GUESS IM REALLY MISSING YOU FOR WHATEVER REASON and I hope you and my pops are kicking it up there in heaven jamming it out with everyone else up there with have a grand ol time. I miss y'all so much.

My son and I met you back in December when Taj decided to learn to play trumpet.  So happy we did!  You inspired Taj to play and strive to be better.  Even on days when Taj "wasn't feeling it" you were encouraging and a great teacher.  Thank you so much for your patience and of course thank you so much for always greeting us with a giant smile and enthusiasm to play.  Your love for the music was contagious.  You won't be forgotten around here.  You really made an impact on Taj and we are both better folks for knowing you that short time.  You will be missed big time.  Rest easy, friend and mentor.
