Steven John Ostermann

Steven was born in Oxnard, CA, July 5, 1981, attended Buena High School for 3 years and graduated from Oxnard High School before joining the United States Air Force and served as an Air Traffic Controller. Following his four years of service Steven worked as a contracted Air Traffic Controller in Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq. Upon his return of continued service to our country he continued his civilian career at Houston TRACON as an Air Traffic Controller at multiple airports, including, George W. Bush Intercontinental Airport. Steven was dedicated to his family, close friends, his work, and was an avid sports and music enthusiast. Steven’s love and compassion for all will be forever missed.

Steven is survived by his loving mothers, Faye Jackson and Candace Bruce; sister, Shawanda Hotchkiss; brother, Isaiah Bruce; Steven’s three children, Camryn, Ashley and Lukas Ostermann and their mother, Caryn Baksis; and many loving family members and dedicated friends.

Services will be held in Oxnard, CA and Steven will be laid to rest at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, in Ventura.
