Tommy was born May 8, 1924, in Glendale, CA, to Louis and Anna Tony. He lived for a time in Santa Barbara, CA, before moving to Ventura, CA, around 84 years ago. Throughout his long life in Ventura, Tommy had many professions and one of the most notable would be when he owned the Sidecar Restaurant here on Main Street.
Tommy was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church. He enjoyed watching his sports, whether it was college or professional baseball, basketball, and football; and spending time at the beach.
Tommy is survived by his son, Jeffrey Tony of Oxnard, CA; cousins, Athan Tony of San Diego, CA, Marina “Chupa” Paterson of San Diego, CA, Dimitrios Poulos of Oxnard, CA, and Boger and Nitsa Poulos-Scott of Ventura, CA; nephews, Thomas Ananias of Ventura, CA; niece, Anna “Bunny” Raymond of Ventura, CA; great nephews, Peter Poulos of Ventura, CA, Tony Rossi of Ventura, CA, Kenny Wardien of Great Falls, MT; and great nieces, Andonia Ananias of Ventura, CA, Athina Ananias of Ventura, CA, and Marjory Doimas of Ventura, CA.
Graveside services will be held in honor of Tommy on Thursday, March 29, 2018, 12:00 P.M., at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Road, Ventura, CA.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home.
