Brian moved to British Columbia with his wife of 65 years, Helen, and their children, Jennifer and Brian. Together, they built a life filled with family, adventure and a love of the outdoors. They spent many years camping, canoeing, hiking and skiing, especially in the Manning Park area, where they eventually built their much loved cabin. After retiring, they made the cabin their home.
Brian was happiest when he was busy, building, fixing anything with a motor, or simply puttering around. He loved the outdoors, his family and his dogs, and could often be seen proudly driving the quad around with his much beloved dog Molly wearing her doggles.
Brian is survived by his son, Brian David McHugh, and daughter, Jennifer Verena Bentley (Perry); grandchildren Michael (Leanne) Kepfer, Derek (Paula) Kepfer and Colton Winiarski (Gabriella Schauber); and great-grandchildren Hailey, Caeden, Kathryn, Brooke and Michael Jr. He is also survived by his brother, Wayne (Madelyne), and nieces and nephews Kathy (Mark), Kevin (Erica), Jeffrey and Karen (Norm).
Brian was predeceased by his wife, Helen, who passed away shortly before him. Together, they shared 65 years of love, family and memories.
Brian will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
