My wife and I just watched Dustin on the Discovery TV Mine Rescue show, and we were terribly saddened at the end of the show when they said he had died so tragically. Words cannot express how sorry were both were to learn this awful news. Our sincerest condolences go out to Dustin's family & friends.

I just watched the show and I know your heart is breaking all the time. I wish I could tell you it gets better, in some ways some things will change to shift your focus for a while and those moments will be your saving grace.  Next week marks 19 years since a car accident took my son’s life so it’s “that time of year for Momma” as my oldest son says.  It will be for you and I send you all my love and prayers as you go through your first “that time of year”.

Just watched the Discovery show, please accept my sincerest condolences. Dustin, came across as a very hard working and pleasant young man. You can just see and hear that he was a really lovely lad.

Please find just a shred of peace knowing that he has been immortalized by tv and is known now to MILLIONS more people around the world.

My wife and I just saw the show with Dustin as well. I'm so sorry for your loss. He was just a baby. My stepson is the same age, and my wife and i would be devastated if that happened to Josh.

The pain of that type of loss never goes away. Stay strong and we're sorry to hear of Dustin's passing.

We just watched Mine Rescue with Freddy & Juan and we were very shocked and saddened for Sascha and her family and the crew.  It's almost a year ago now because of the show scheduling.  We prayed very frevently for you, Sascha, and want you to know that us Gold Rush fans are very moved by the people we see and their lives and stories.  GOD bless you so much. We will not forget Dustin.
