

We regret to announce the passing of Edward Pushkarenko on September 16, 2016, at Polson Extended Care, surrounded by his family. Ed was born on September 8, 1939 in Glendon, Alberta (home of the giant Perogy) and was raised for 13 years on a farm in the area. His family moved to Vernon in 1952 and
Ed attended and graduated from local schools. Shortly after he completed high school Ed joined the RCAF. He retired from the Royal Canadian Airforce (RCAF) in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and eventually relocating to Vernon in the early 1990’s with his wife Shirley who passed away a few years later. Ed was the second youngest of 17 children. He is survived by his companion Marge, 1 brother George and 5 sisters Rose, Anne, Helen (Ken), Mary and Sophie (Don) and numerous nieces and nephews throughout North America.
